Under the NHL-NHLPA CBA, European players can play at the NHL level if drafted, however, every European player regardless of age must sign an Entry Level System contract which caps salaries subject to elite level bonuses. We have outlined the various considerations for European players and promoted players for the NHL as well as the CHL Junior Import Draft usually held in late June or early July each year after the NHL Draft. The CHL remains the premiere Junior Hockey League. We have arranged the draft and placement of European players with CHL teams and have advised other European parents about the possibilities of playing in the USHL and NAHL and other Junior Hockey Leagues in the USA. We understand the concern of parents, players and teams to ensure the adjustment and expectations can be met for the best possible skill development, living and education.

For players desiring to play in Europe, generally to play in the elite divisions throughout Europe, a player should have the experience of the ECHL for one year. Other lower national divisions have no such requirement, however, a player who can obtain a European passport based generally on the parent or grandparent having European heritage, can avoid being classified as an Import Player, which are restricted in different numbers by the various leagues. We have established alliances with other agents throughout Europe to who we refer players and work collaboratively.
